Easton’s Nursery…

Here are the fabrics I am using in the nursery so far!!!  I am so excited about this nursery…who says designing for a little boy can’t be fun!  It got off to a rough start because now that the nursery is for a little boy, Josh seems to be extra opinionated about the design :-)   I know everyone is thinking why aren’t you doing airplanes…well we just want to do something a little different.  Josh’s main request is that I don’t make it look too grown up and that it really reflect a little boys room; ya know have a theme.  Not being big on themes I thought this was going to be tough.  There are tons of pretty fabrics out there for little girls but most of the boy fabrics are not too cute.  I found the giraffe print first and thought that could go in a little boy’s room…and then I found the blue and orange plaid fabric and everything else fell into place.  The last thing I added was the monkey sheet.  I felt like we needed a little more character in the room and I also didn’t want to make my own sheet. I found the monkey sheet at Babies R Us and everything was complete! So all in all I am calling this room theme ”Modern Safari.”  I’ll probably throw some other elements in there but that will be the driving inspiration.  And now Josh is happy because I have an organized plan!!!!  I will post more pics as soon as the bedding is complete!!

I LOVE THIS! I know this room will be awesome :) At first I was a little scared about a “themed” room too…. but I think it will look great! I know how you think Erica so we were on the same page in the beginning LOL I’m glad you found some great fabric, baby Easton will be so lucky to have a handsome room just like he will be!

That little Easton is going to be a great hockey player. Can’t wait to get him his first hockey stick…. ;-)

The nursery fabric is fabulous. Can’t wait to see the finished product.

See you all the end of November.
